RAI Amsterdam

Between jungle and gazebo – one-stop solution for HLTH Europe

satis&fy impressed with functional special constructions, inspiring stages, and a sustainable two-year concept for the European edition of the healthcare innovation event

The RAI in Amsterdam is not new to satis&fy, but what happens inside is different every time. We have been supporting the Money20/20 FinTech Congress at this venue for four years now, providing almost all of the technical services. Already supporting the event on a smaller scale in 2024, we were able to put our one-stop solution to use for HLTH this year as well, creating a unique atmosphere for an outstanding networking event with audio, video, lighting, rigging, special construction, stage construction, and furniture. Europe’s #1 healthcare innovation event took place on June 17 and 18. And once again, it was confirmed: The RAI is a meeting place that offers innovation not just one, but many stages – designed and realized by satis&fy.

FROM THE JUNGLE TO THE GARDEN ARBOR – THE STAGE HIGHLIGHTS

Lots of inspiration, a clear mission: guide seven stages from idea to production.

The creative framework came from the customer, satis&fy examined the implementation options, adapted wishes to reality – and, not infrequently, reality to the wishes. Each stage followed its own concept, offered a unique atmosphere, and had complex requirements: a project in which satis&fy’s special construction department was able to work its magic – from original sales steles to custom-made truss rings, everything was constructed with great attention to detail.

„I loved all the stages this year. The designs were so different and all were perfectly implemented by satis&fy. The Main Stage, with its many plants, is my favorite of all the stages in recent years.“ – Michael Hoefler, Creative Director HLTH Europe.

Two faces, one heart: The Main Stage had to be versatile. Under the motto “Jungalow,” the Main Stage was transformed into a wild jungle with myriad green plants stretching along the entire stage backdrop and cascading down from the ten-meter truss ring above the main stage.

Below: a round platform in the jungle that echoed the design of the truss ring. Together: the “Jungalow.” LEDs all around created a magical moment: a change in the color of the light from green to blue and the Main Stage was transformed into Track Stage 1. The jungle became a waterfall. Well thought-out details with an amazing effect.

From the wilderness to the garden: The start-up area was staged as an informal meeting place for partners and colleagues. Everything was easy and relaxed. In front of the stage built from pallets, visitors could take a seat between beer benches and garden gnomes. A casual meeting place with professional equipment: 44 fully customizable sales and consultation steles – designed and built by satis&fy – branded as desired, with integrated power connections and charging stations – securely lockable, formed perfect workstations for the exhibitors. Now and in the future. Because it’s not just design and functionality that are top priorities, but also sustainability: The steles – along with all other special structures for HLTH – will be stored internally at satis&fy and reused next year.

Between the garden, jungle, and waterfall, additional stages took visitors through a wide variety of worlds. The Gallery Stage created an elegant museum atmosphere thanks to artistically printed backdrops for the 300-person plenary hall. The Palace Stage, Summit Stage, Women’s Health Area, and “The Forum & Media Village” rounded out satis&fy’s area of responsibility. Even the paths between them were well thought out: Hall 6 was transformed into a passageway to the Main Stage with Variowave tunnel elements and soundscaping provided by satis&fy – rustling leaves, birdsong, cicadas.

GREEN GARDEN AT HLTH EUROPE

A garden for health – quite literally. So it’s no wonder that it wasn’t just the start-up area that looked like a garden party at HLTH. The green vibe was everywhere. A flower shop as the entrance feature, greenhouses and pallet furniture that gave the areas structure while also breaking them up, and last but not least, plants. Everywhere. Tons of them. Even trees. The resulting ecosystem was more than just decoration. It became a living metaphor for the global HLTH network. Of course, it was also sustainable: all the plants were provided by Oogenlust, collected again after the event, and refreshed and cared for for their next assignments.

We also particularly enjoy our one-stop solution when the stop is as varied as HLTH. We are already looking forward to next year!
