For freelancers, the name says it all: you go into self-employment to be independent and free, to choose your own jobs, to find the most exciting projects and to work with a wide variety of customers. That was also the case for Sascha. As a career changer, the electrical engineer raised the tension over fifteen years ago and switched to the event industry and directly into self-employment. Courageous, self-confident, creative – just the kind of freelancers we look for at satis&fy – and book again and again once we’ve found them.
Sascha has proven to be a great asset in his jobs for satis&fy and is enjoying the fruits of his labor. That’s because our freelancers can also pursue a career here. Of course, this is not defined by classic promotions, but by the type and scope of the projects to be managed. It is important to build a relationship based on mutual trust, to refine and improve skills, and of course to warm to the team. That takes time.
A good mix of freelancers and permanent staff is essential for us on every production, but: When a crew is well-rehearsed and works well together, our crew management does everything to keep the team exactly that way – and to go on a successful journey or tour together. For Sascha, these included the Hans Zimmer Live Europe Tour and Let’s Dance – The Live Tour.
Our freelancers are involved in rehearsals and, for large events, in the preparation and follow-up of projects. But planning requires planning security. That is why it is important to us to give our freelancers as much planning security as possible – by making enquiries at an early stage and making appropriate bookings.
