A total of 17 trainees, one dual student and one annual intern started their journey into the event industry on August 1, 2024. And they were right in the thick of it from the start.
On August 1, the time had come again. A total of 19 young people started their training at satis&fy, 12 of them at the headquarters in Karben. And took their first steps on their way into the event industry. For the 17 trainees, one dual student and one annual intern, things got off to a flying start: with insights into the specialist departments, lots of new faces and a first small project.
The trainees are starting out in professions typical of the industry, such as Event Engineer, Project Manager or Transportation and Logistics Manager. But there are also creative apprenticeships such as Designer for Visual Marketing or Audio Visual Media Designer. In addition, there are three trainees in the promising profession of Warehouse Logistics Specialist and a dual student B.A. Event, Trade Fair & Congress Management.
The start of a new traineeship is exciting. That’s why the team at satis&fy attaches particular attention to structured and comprehensive onboarding. The satis&fy newcomers traditionally spend the first week of training together at the headquarters in Karben. In the second week, they then start at their respective locations in Germany.
“They all come with individual expectations and face many new impressions straight away. Then there is the excitement. That’s why it’s particularly important to us to give the young people the best possible start,” emphasizes Sandra Kessler, Training Coordinator at satis&fy.
A diverse program awaited the newcomers: In addition to the obligatory introductory round and plenty of time for questions, one of the first highlights was a tour through the different departments at the Dögelmühle – warehouse, workshop, offices, studios, fabrication and much more. Representatives from each department gave the trainees an insight into their work and were on hand to answer questions. This also included handing out work materials and work clothing. CEO and company founder Nico Ubenauf welcomed the new trainees in person. In a meet & greet, he took plenty of time to answer questions and to get to know them for the first time.
An important part of the week: the trainees’ first event project, which they plan and carry out entirely on their own. A first taste of the event world. This year, the group organized a “bratwurst lunch” for the colleagues in Karben. There were lots of people – but there was enough for everyone. A complete success!
“It was a fun extended lunch break with delicious food and a great atmosphere,” says Sandra Kessler, adding: “The trainees were very ambitious and committed. And they successfully mastered their first challenge. A good start into the event industry!“
