Online awards ceremony with live connection to the winners and audience votes, live talks, keynote speeches with Q&A as well as debates and video pitches – a lot of program items for the first digital summit “forum agrarzeitung” of dfv media group. The broadcast was live on December 2nd from the satis&fy studio in Palais Thurn und Taxis right in the heart of Frankfurt.
Because of the corona pandemic, the “forum agrarzeitung” also had to break new ground and was moved to the digital stage. In addition to a panel discussion with leading companies in the agricultural sector, the program also included a live technology conversation with manufacturers and retailers, the “Agricultural Promotion Prize” award and the introduction of the new “Top Retailer of the Year” award. Networking in virtual space was the last agenda point of the Digital Summit.
Together with the customer, satis&fy developed a coherent, exciting content-related and visual event design, contributed the various graphics for the studio setup, was responsible for providing the event platform and live streaming, provided complex broadcast control and most importantly ensured that the three-hour event ran smoothly in the studio that was specially converted for the event.
Lukas Obenauff, satis&fy Junior Project Manager said of the experience: “The request to execute the Digital Summit reached us only two and a half weeks before it aired. We initially advised the publisher, who had already presented us with a finalized agenda, how the live connections should be designed, and the remote speakers integrated into the set design and panel discussions.” Another issue discussed was how the award ceremony should be and how the workshops and break-out sessions could best be digitally integrated.
“We now had to convey the dynamics that normally arise on a stage at face-to-face events onto a screen. It was therefore important for us to keep the format exciting and varied,” said Obenauff. This was achieved through the integration of interactive elements, connections and live voting. With the recently completed live studio in the Palais Thurn und Taxis, satis&fy offered the Frankfurt-based publisher a suitable, close and direct broadcast location.
The customer praised the summit’s successful transformation to a digital format. Heike Deneberger, Head of Events for Agricultural and Food Media, thanked the satis&fy team with the words: “You really made everything possible in a very short time. You always thought for the event and alongside us and all sections were set up in a highly professional manner. It was personally a great pleasure for me to work with you.” Arne Löffel, General Publishing Director of Agrarmedien, also described the digital event as a success: “It was a tough job, but it was absolutely worth it. We can really make a statement with the “forum agrarzeitung”. In terms of content and look & feel. Very professional. We have started a new and forward-looking format that we will continue to expand in the coming years. ”
